045 Laneway Festival 2013

The third festival held in Singapore next year on the 26th Janurary 2013. It will be held at The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay. So exciting because it was held at *Scape and Fort Canning before, now its a different place again! A new experience, since I haven’t been to the Meadow before. Also it will be the first Laneway Festival that I have attended! Its a pity I gave the rest a miss though.

So Laneway aka St. Jerome’s Festival aka Indie Rock festival, it started dating back to 2004 in Melbourne, Australia. It is obviously a music event which several indie bands would perform at. Previously there were bands such as Two Door Cinema Club, Foals, Drums, Feist and so on. And it covered from Melbourne, to Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland and now Singapore! Such a privilege.

So this year anyway, the current bands that are heading down are:

Alt-J, Bat for Lashes, Cloud Nothings, Divine Fits, Gotye, Japandroids, Kimbra, Kings of Convenience, Nicolas Jaar, Of Monsters and Men, Polica, Real Estate, Tame Impala, Yeasayer.
It is really going to be a blast, so during the follow-up to the music festival, I will be listening to each and every band and talking about the music and how I feel about it.

The tickets in Singapore are going for $145 (Standard Ticket), $493 (Bundle of 4 Tickets). Get them tickets which are selling out fast here: http://www.facebook.com/LanewayFestSG/app_290818097695433
